Description

This was a really snowy Friday! This website [link] says that on the next morning the snow was 21 cm deep in Trier. Since I absolutely love snow, I was probably laughing madly the entire time :muahaha: Even now I have a diabolical smile on my face as I am looking at these photographs :D

There was (another?) Friday when the complete traffic to the university broke down. Practically every few meters you could see a bus in the roadside ditch. For a long time, my friend Gerry and I used to reminisce about what we called the "Freaky Friday" :giggle:

On Bing Maps you can see my point of view [link] . You need to click "Turn right" and then "Turn left" again, for some reason it does not load instantly. We are currently looking at the "V-Gebäude" ("V Building") [link] , the "DM-Gebäude" ("DM Building") is behind us.

General Information: The new University of Trier was founded in 1973 and hosts about 15,000 students. It features modern architecture and is located several kilometres outside the city of Trier. Its seal bears the Latin motto "Treveris ex urbe deus complet dona sophiae", which translates to "In the city of Trier, God brings the talents of wisdom to perfection."

Trier is a city in the Federal Republic of Germany with a population of 100,000. It is located in the Western part of Germany only 15 km from the border of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and lies on the banks of the Moselle River. It claims to be the oldest recognized city in Germany, being founded by the Romans 2000 years ago. Besides its numerous buildings from the Roman and the frequency of archaeological discoveries, it is very famous as a wine-growing region.
